Course Commitment Pledge
I understand that by applying to STARTALK Chinese Culture and Language Immersion through Gaming and Storytelling: Seasons Edition, that admission to the summer program is conditional on satisfactory performance during the Spring semester. Learners should be committed to improving their language skills, which includes regular attendance to classes and, during the school term, approximately two hours per week to complete assignments. In exchange we will be providing a fun, innovative enrichment program with an unusual amount of individual attention and tutoring for those admitted to the program. The entire program is free of charge, including room and board for the summer residential program.

Dates to Keep in Mind:
Module One: February 1, 2025 – May 3, 2025 – One hour virtual class that will take place every Saturday from January – April
Module Two: July 13, 2024 – July 26, 2025 – Pre-College Summer, a residential program on UConn’s Storrs campus
Module Three: September 2025 – December 2025 – One hour virtual class that will take place every two weeks on Saturdays from September – December
If you are a high school student, you must sign the form and you must also get the signature of your parent or legal guardian.
